Peter's Online Typing Course

Look on the left side of the page for Typing Lessons (1-7). This is an excellent site to begin using.

Power Typing

Look above the white space for the hot lime-green text that says Qwerty Keyboard. The actual Querty Lessons require selecting a lesson, setting a goal, and there is even music to play to help with rhythm. Don't set goals too high until you have begun to develop you technique. Here is a wonderful quote from Power Typing you might have missed:

"Instead of focusing on "quick where is the next letter" even rhythm will let you focus on what to type. If you slow down to achieve even rhythm you will in effect speed up."

Keep that thought in mind because Power Typing has links for Typing Games Barracuda, BarracudaS, FoggiesAlphabetic RainFalling WordsThe Jibe. Even when playing games - use correct finger placement.

Mr. Kent Typing

Stay on this page. The Set Timing, Selection of Lesson Number, and Skill Level setting must be selected below the keyboard. Medium Skill Level is a good choice.

Type On-line

Neat site! Activities are located on left side of the page. Keyboard Lessons, Copy Practice, Number Pad are great. Again, don't worry about the speed test of any sort. Students should work on technique, then accuracy, and speed will automatically follow.

Add your favorite link from above in your FAVORITES so it will be easy to access on your computer.
Peter's Online Typing Courser is still my #1 choice.
If you are not in middle school, ask your parent to view the links above with you. Together decide which activity is best for you.
Again, I like email....let me know what you think. Suggestion are welcome!
